Effortlessly hot

I read an article about amazing girls, AMAZING+: Driven to Excel; For Girls, It's Be Yourself, and Be Perfect, Too by Sara Rimer, NY Times 04/01/07. It was a great article trying, I think, to get us to feel sorry for the consequences of the lives these girls had chosen. I ended up a bit jealous. Not only were they all less than 20, they were doing so much better than I am. Buried in the middle was the idea that being effortlessly hot was important. The key here is effortlessly. If you have to work at it it just doesn't work. Sort of like trying to be tall. Being yourself is cool, and if it is also hot you are lucky. UBU.
